Description:

Tackling the Carbon eu Dioxide Challenge for consequat. a Sustainable Future.

Are deserunt we - scientists qui and engineers - eiusmod ready to deliver incididunt CCUS for large eu scale deployment? What est are the challenges veniam, and hurdles towards adipisicing implementation? What are esse the technical solutions non and scientific breakthroughs sit emerged or about qui to emerge? We non will discuss these ut questions and many commodo more in an Lorem interdisciplinary framework at aute the 2019 Gordon sint Research Conference on dolor CCUS (the third veniam, of a series), fugiat where participants junior Lorem and senior will Ut be stimulated by Excepteur the highly interactive Duis atmosphere typical of Lorem the GRCs and liqua. inspired by the do natural landscape surrounding deserunt the conference venue, est for the first esse time in Europe.
Among the specific sunt areas addressed by cupidatat the conference there Lorem will be the aute scientific breakthroughs in sint CCUS, the role veniam, of CCUS in voluptate enabling negative emissions, nisi the systemic aspects do of CCUS, and dolore its role in enim selected industrial sectors.

Detailed DescriptionCarbon Capture, Utilization and Storage systems play a central role in political debates, technological efforts and scientific developments around climate change, as a consequence of two factors. First, with the Paris Agreement, countries have agreed to hold global mean warming well below 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Second, scientists have shown that any limit to global mean warming implies a maximum cumulative amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the so called carbon budget. Such factors imply that science and technology (as well as political will and financial means) are needed not only to reduce emissions but also to generate negative emissions (true removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide), in case of carbon budget overshoot.
