Tackling the Carbon est Dioxide Challenge for aute a Sustainable Future.

Are in we - scientists do and engineers - amet, ready to deliver liqua. CCUS for large do scale deployment? What nulla are the challenges et and hurdles towards aute implementation? What are proident, the technical solutions id and scientific breakthroughs dolore emerged or about fugiat to emerge? We anim will discuss these ullamco questions and many fugiat more in an sit interdisciplinary framework at Ut the 2019 Gordon ut Research Conference on magna a CCUS (the third dolore of a series), where participants junior exercitation and senior will dolor be stimulated by est the highly interactive ex atmosphere typical of quis the GRCs and adipisicing inspired by the ex natural landscape surrounding culpa the conference venue, amet, for the first time in Europe.
Among the specific labore areas addressed by amet, the conference there pariatur. will be the veniam, scientific breakthroughs in occaecat CCUS, the role id of CCUS in culpa enabling negative emissions, reprehenderit the systemic aspects officia of CCUS, and adipisicing its role in enim selected industrial sectors.

Detailed DescriptionCarbon Capture, Utilization and Storage systems play a central role in political debates, technological efforts and scientific developments around climate change, as a consequence of two factors. First, with the Paris Agreement, countries have agreed to hold global mean warming well below 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Second, scientists have shown that any limit to global mean warming implies a maximum cumulative amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the so called carbon budget. Such factors imply that science and technology (as well as political will and financial means) are needed not only to reduce emissions but also to generate negative emissions (true removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide), in case of carbon budget overshoot.
