Knowing the adiabatic temperature rise can improve safety in chemical processes in case of cooling failure. This study shows firstly how the temperature rise can be calculated online according to a mass and energy balance and secondly that the required accuracy of the desired values can only be attained by having additional temperature sensors.Downloads
