A headspace solid-phase microextraction method combined with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry was developed for the direct analysis of cannabis samples. Different parameters influencing the extraction of cannabinoids were studied and the optimised method was applied to the analysis of plants from two different regions in Switzerland. Applied to cannabinoid concentrations, a principal components analysis was applied and demonstrated sample discrimination.Downloads
