The use of lignocellulosic plant material instead of food-based cereals for the production of biobased chemicals and fuels has been a matter of interest for academia and industry over the past years. The crux is the commercial viability of such processes, to be competitive in the fuels and chemicals market. Now, we are at the brink of commercialization with first processes already being implemented worldwide, offering more sustainability, energy security and economic growth.Downloads
