The system laccase/mediator/dioxygen is able to trigger radical reactions with radical precursors which are not natural substrates of this enzyme. The radical generation has been accomplished by single electron transfer oxidation of a 1,3-dicarbonyl precursor. The process is exemplified with a radical cascade.Downloads
