Desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) is a new ionization technique recently introduced in analytical chemistry for the ambient analysis of surfaces by mass spectrometry. We present here new developments in this field, focusing on their use for the analysis of solid forms, as pharmaceutical tablets or illicit drug tablets. Results recently published by ourselves are discussed in the context of related publications.Downloads
