The transfer of liquefied gases comprises a special hazard potential. Therefore special equipment and expertise is necessary. It is not possible for every HazMat base to hold its own equipment. Therefore in Switzerland the Flüssiggaspikett der Ostschweiz and DSM Nutritional Products, Sisseln, can be called out to provide help if incidents with liquefied gases occur. A case study of a real mission is presented. Furthermore technical specifications of key items and the experience of the author are provided.Downloads
