There has been a long collaboration between the Chemistry Department of the University of Applied Science in Burgdorf and MetroGlas, manufacturer of chemical sensors. The development of a unique pressure-regulating system for pH sensors is described. The agreement between the pressure measured inside the electrode and theorectical values derived from kinetic data is very good. The pressure system has been patented, and sensors with the new system are now marketed by AppliSens.Downloads
