Abstract

In Canton Aargau there are two institutes which are both focussed on the field of plastics technology. The University of Applied Sciences Aargau offers a specialised program in plastics technology in the faculty of Engineering Science and Technology. The focus in research and development is less on academia than on technology support for small and medium-sized companies in the plastics sector.
The KATZ (Plastics Training and Technology Center) is a specialist institute in the field of plastics processing and technology transfer. The center enjoys wide-based sponsorship from industry, professional associations, universities and the Canton of Aargau.
