Abstract

Designing and building a multipurpose plant requires a project management familiar with production technologies. A short summary of the current project environment is given and the resulting design philosophy explained. Using the cGMP-project at Rohner AG, examples of technical project management are given. Emphasis is put on the early project phases as the key to successful project completion. A profile for a successful project manager is drafted.
