Sperm Cells as DNA Vectors for the Preparation of Transgenic Animals

Abstract

Sperm-mediated DNA transfer strategy which has been used for the preparation of genetically modified, transgenic organisms is discussed, and sperm-mediated transgenesis of Xenopus laevis frogs with retroviral Rous sarcoma virus DNA is summarized.
