Optimisation of a Chemical Reaction by Means of LabMax® and STAVEX

Abstract

For the optimisation of a chemical reaction, STAVEX, an expert system for process optimisation and validation, was tested in combination with the automatic laboratory reactor LabMax^®. The high reproducibility and the unproblematic operation of the latter were particularly appreciated. Thanks to the simple-to-use expert software, a reduction of the number of influential factors, a maximization of the yield of product as well as a model equation for the yield were obtained.
