Outsourcing, Toll Manufacturing, and Custom Synthesis in Chemical Production

Outsourcing, for chemical and pharmaceutical companies, means to buy intermediates or active ingredients that are normally produced by the companies themselves. It can also refer to buying new products that the companies have developed. For various reasons, companies want to buy these products from the outside.
