For solving complex analytical tasks networking has proven to be extremely useful. Networking in Analytical Chemistry shows various aspects. The use of a pool of different, complementary instrumental methods for ambitious analytical investigations is fundamental. Furthermore, stimulating a transdisciplinary approach through dynamic team formation within a transparent, flexible organization is an essential management task. Two case studies illustrating the networking approach at EMPA in complex analytical service and R & D projects are presented. The result is a comprehensive approach in analytical chemistry, activating synergy.Downloads
