Research activities of the Animal Health division of Ciba in St. Aubin consist mainly in the discovery of new substances to maintain and improve the health of companion and farm animals, as well as in various services for research and development projects. An important screening set-up allows to test molecules from various origines for their ability to control endoparasites (mainly gastrointestinal worms), ectoparasites (mainly ticks, mites, and fleas) and microbial infections (mainly mastitis). A small group also works on immunological approach to parasite control. The service group deals with analytics, clinical chemistry and carries out safety trials in pharmacokinetics, tolerability, and residues. A modern and well equiped facility like the CRA is able to fulfill today's requirements for new products in the field of animal health.Downloads
