Classical mass spectra of organic compounds contain a lot of blocked information: genetic relationship between ions is hidden. In the passed few years, a novel type of mass spectrometry has been introduced: DADI- (Direct Analysis of Daughter Ions) or MIKE- (Mass analyzed Ion Kinetic Energy) Spectrometry. It enables analytical work like purity control, determination of the position of a substituent in a molecule or mixture analysis. By the method of molecule stripping, amino acid sequencing in oligo peptides may be performed in a very short time.
