Abstract

NMR-evidence concerning the configuration of 2-bromo-3-dialkylaminoprop- 2-en-1-al and similar push-pull-olefins has been confirmed by X-ray-analysis of 2-bromo-3-dimethylamino-prop- 2-en-1-al (3a) and1-bromo-1-nitro-2-dimethylamino-ethylene (3g). Both compounds contain the push- and pull-substituents in trans-position.
