Abstract

Experimental and theoretical methods for the evaluation of the thermal conductivity of dispersions are described. With some restrictions the former developed “unsteady state method ” for measuring the thermal conductivity of liquids can be extended to suspensions and emulsions too. Theoretical models – like the derived “single cell-method” – allows to predict the thermal conductivity of dispersion with good accurancy.
