Zyklische Oxa-Enone: Untersuchungen mechanistischer und stereochemischer Aspekte der [2+2]-Photocycloaddition von Enonen an Olefine

Abstract

Oxa-enones proved to be very suitable model compounds for mechanistic and stereochemical investigations of enone photocycloadditions. New conclusions concerning the orientation of addition, the formation of cis- and trans-fused adducts, and primary bonding were obtained. The great difference in reactivities found for endo- and exocyclic oxa-enones is explained by a difference in the geometries of the corresponding enone-olefin exciplexes.
