Abstract

The electron microprobe analysis has allowed to detect in goldcopper dental alloys inhomogeneities not visible with an optical microscope. The segregation coefficients are given for thermal treatment at 700 and 850 °C. The correlation coefficients have been calculated and a sign inversion was observed in some cases between samples treated at 700 and 850 °C. The influence of air on homogeneity was also studied.
