Abstract

A method of physical development which provides to develop latent images on lead halide large crystals is described. The application of that new method shows that the presence of oxygen during exposition to light has a large influence on the aspect of the developed image. The development centers are not made of lead, but probably of an association of O2- and Pb2+ ions, oxyhalides for instance.
