Zum Komplexgleichgewicht Häm/Cyanid im Hämoglobin-Haptoglobin-Assoziat

Abstract

The complexing of hemoglobin with haptoglobin alters the ligand binding properties of the heme iron. In order to obtain crystals of uniformly liganded cyanmethemoglobin-haptoglobin complex the ligand-heme equilibria were investigated. The concentration of cyanide required for keeping the complex fully liganded is higher as in free cyanmethemoglobin and depends on the way of complex formation.
