Autoxidation von CuI-Komplexen V: Eine kinetische Methode zur Bestimmung der Stabilitätskonstanten der 1:1-Kupfer (I)-Komplexe mit Acetonitril und mit Chlorid

Abstract

A kinetic study on the autoxidation of cuprous copper in aqueous CH₃CN or Cl^- allows the determination of the hitherto unknown 1:1-complexes CuCH₃CN⁺ and CuCl_aq. Their existence is difficult to prove by equilibrium measurements because of the wellknown tendency of Cu⁺_aq to disproportionation. Use is made of the fact that Cu⁺_aq only is active towards oxygen whereas all the other species present in solution have no significant autoxidation rate. This kinetic method should be applicable to many other systems.
