Abstract

The complex formation in the system Mg2+ – F- – H2O has been investigated by means of a fluoride ion-sensitive membrane electrode. The experimental data can be explained by assuming the equilibrium Mg2+ + F- ⇄ MgF+ with log Kj = 1.31 ± 0.03 [25°C, 1M (Na)NO3]
