Ansprüche an Epoxyharze als Bindemittel für vakuumimprägnierte Hochspannungssiolationen

By replacing the binders shellac and asphalt by plastics such as epoxy-resins, high-tension insulations for electrical machines could be considerably improved.
The working-technique made such resins necessary which possess a viscosity characteristic allowing them to be used as impregnating material.
Principally the qualitative requests are on the whole reached, but the temperature-range of the application is naturally limited by the properties of the resins. To enlarge this temperaturerange to higher temperatures, resins are needed which show, besides the necessary temperature-dependence of the physical properties, also a sufficient ability of resistance against ageing.
